The exhibition brings together over 50 artworks, created from various materials, by artists namely Le Ba Dang, Diem Phung Thi, Duong Dinh Sang, Nguyen Hien, Dang Mau Tuu, Nguyen Duc Huy, Dang Thu An, Nguyen Thi Hoa, Hoang Thanh Phong, Nguyen Thi Hue, and Do Van Lan...
Each artist, through their unique style and brushwork, conveys special messages and emotions about the sacred bonds of loved ones within the family narratives. These can be joys, happiness, maternal love, father-child relationships, or aspirations for life. Each viewer will have their own perception of the depth and uniqueness of every piece.
Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of Hue Fine Arts Museum, stated that the exhibition aims to celebrate Vietnamese Family Day on June 28. According to Ms. Trai, the exhibition is like a comprehensive painting of an artistic “extended family”, filled with love and emotion, sending loving messages to those we cherish. It is a spiritual legacy, transmitting stories and core values of the family through many generations, reminding each person of their roots and the familial affection that each visual artist has recommended in their works.
“We want to convey the message that family is where good cultural values are nurtured and passed down. Let's join hands to spread the beautiful values of Vietnamese family in today's society,” shared Ms. Trai.
The exhibition is open until June 14.
