Exciting events lined up for the 2025 Community Ao dai Week

HNN.VN - On June 2nd, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City announced that the 2025 Community Ao Dai Week will take place from June 6th to 15th, kicked off with a special art program titled “Hue Ao dai” at An Dinh Palace on the evening of June 6th.

The following days will feature a vibrant lineup of activities, including seminars, street performances, and continuous showcases. Highlighted events include: Exhibition space for traditional Ao Dai tailoring; Cycling for the environment under the theme “Ao Dai through the streets”; The “Ao Dai back to the roots” journey at Truong Thai Tomb and Emperor Minh Mang’s Tomb; The “Colors of Culture” art program, and the “Viet Phong Gathering” parade.

Other notable events include an exhibition and fashion show of the Ao Dai collections “Applying the Art of Diem Phung Thi”; an “Ao Dai with Phuoc Tich pottery” fashion show; A country fair combined with an “Ao Dai returns to heritage” parade; the “Ao Dai - A Child’s Joy” night festival; and a floral and incense offering ceremony at Truong Thai Tomb with a tribute parade honoring Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat and Emperor Minh Mang.

According to the organizers, this week-long celebration is part of the implementation of the “Hue - The Capital of Ao Dai” initiative, in coordination with the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival activities. Through these events, the city aims to highlight the cultural uniqueness and branding potential of Hue’s Ao Dai, promote tourism, and strengthen Hue’s identity as a cultural and fashion destination.
