On December 11, representatives of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports informed that the Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced the decision to include the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Huong Tho Commune, Hue City) and Van Cu noodle-making craft (Huong Toan Commune, Huong Tra Town) in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

On December 5 and 6, at the Provincial Continuing Education Center, the Provincial Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, organized a training session on teaching safe swimming skills and preventing drowning in students.

On October 23, the Department of Education and Training held a session to assess the works participating in the competition for composing new lyrics based on Hue folk melodies; painting about Hue culture and collecting local games, folk songs, and folk poems appropriate with preschool education.

On September 12th, at the Provincial Center for Culture and Art, the Department of Science and Technology (S&T) inaugurated an exhibition showcasing technological devices, science and technology products, innovations, and creative startup (CS) products, as well as key products from the North Central and Central Coastal regions.

In the joyful atmosphere, celebrating the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Department of Culture and Sports organized the 35th Traditional Boat Racing Competition of Thua Thien Hue province on the morning of September 2, with the participation of 9 units from wards and communes of 9 districts, towns and Hue City.

That was the theme of the exhibition held on the morning of August 30 by the Department of Culture and Sports at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue (No.7 Le Loi St., Hue City).

“The fact that “Knowledge of Tailoring and Wearing Hue Ao Dai” having just been enlisted as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage not only is an honor and pride, but at the same time, affirms that Hue Ao Dai always carries the traditional cultural values of the nation and has a strong vitality throughout history,” emphasized Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Member of the National Cultural Heritage Council, Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports when sharing the story about the new recognition of it with Thua Thien Hue Weekly.

The International Dance Festival 2024, organized by the Department of Performing Arts (the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, will take place from August 17 to 22 at the Provincial Center for Culture and Cinema (41A Hung Vuong Street, Hue City).

On the afternoon of August 1st, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held a conference to review and approve the results of the provincial science and technology project "Establishing, managing, and developing a certification mark (CM) for “Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge village market” of Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town, led by the Office of Culture and Information of Huong Thuy Town.

On August 1, Hue Monuments Conservation Center collaborated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City to open Hai Van Frontier Post (Hai Van Quan) relic site for visitors after a period of restoration.
