With the participation of cultural researchers, Ao dai designers, teachers, and students, representatives participating in the seminar shared and discussed about the history and the development journey of Ao dai Hue; as well as the roles of Ao dai in schools; and the process of preserving and improving values of this traditional costume.

Over time, the image of Ao dai, closely associating with the culturally rich land of Hue, has turned it into a unique cultural symbol. The introduction of Ao dai into schools has also become a beautiful image, helping to honor Ao dai Hue and affirm the brand name of “Hue – The Capital of Ao dai”.

According to the researcher Nguyen Xuan Hoa, the appearance of Ao dai in schools represents the continuation and preservation of the nation’s traditions. This also shows that Ao dai not only holds traditional value but continues to integrate into modern life, affirming the cultural essence within the educational environment.

The opinions shared at the seminar also clarified the historical and cultural values of Ao dai. From there, solutions were proposed to appropriately introduce Ao dai into the school environment, so that it remains a valuable heritage of Hue. However,  Ao dai should not be imposed in schools in a forced manner, and it should also be designed to be convenient for students.

The program also included an Ao dai fashion show with the participation of students and teachers, showcasing the gentle and elegant beauty of Ao dai within the context of schools. This was an opportunity for young people to experience and gain a deeper understanding of the meaning and values of Ao dai, contributing to the education of cultural traditions, as well as nurturing love and pride for the heritage of their homeland among the younger generation.
