By preserving Co Tu cultural traditions in everyday life and integrating indigenous values into visitor experiences, residents of Doi Village have carved out a distinctive path for community-based tourism in the western area of Hue City. The village is gradually emerging as a favorite destination for travelers seeking community-based tourism activities in Khe Tre highland area.

On the morning of May 30, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, had a courtesy meeting with a delegation from enCity Joint Stock Consulting Company (Singapore). The delegation was led by Mr. James Chew, Director of Planning and Investment at enCity and former senior planning and development official at Singapore’s Ministry of National Development and the Urban Redevelopment Authority.

From electric boat rides along the Ngu Ha River to ideas for night streets, culinary routes, and community cultural spaces, Phu Xuan Ward is gradually unlocking the potential of a “heritage ward”.

On the evening of May 29, at Bao Vinh Ancient Town (Hoa Chau Ward), the City People's Committee organized the launching ceremony for the Action Month for Children 2026 under the theme “Happy and safe children confidently stepping into the digital era”.

Though in his seventies, Excellent Artist Tran Thao (Phu Xuan, Hue) has never spent a single day without nha nhac (court music). The Vietnam Cinema Association has discussed and proposed Hue City People’s Committee consider approving the hosting and co-organization of the 2026 Golden Kite Awards.
