On the morning of March 25, Hue Tourism College (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) held its graduation ceremony in 2026.

Now in its fifth year, Hue has been hosting the Four Seasons Festival (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter). Instead of concentrating activities within a few peak days as in the past, the Hue Four Seasons Festival is implemented under a new model, featuring a continuous series of cultural, artistic and tourism events throughout the year to honor heritage, promote tourism and create new experiences for visitors.

In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026), the 51st anniversary of Hue’s Liberation Day, and the successful election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, many schools across the city have organized vibrant activities, fostering a spirit of enthusiasm in learning and self-improvement among students.

In 2000, in the short piece entitled “Hue Diary,” written when he returned for the first Hue Festival, musician Trinh Cong Son wrote, “When you have a place to return, or to visit from time to time, you are very fortunate. There, you have a river, a mountain, and you can find again your old friends whose hair used to be black has now turned grey. You might suddenly meet a Hue girl on the street and ask her, ‘Is there anything new in Hue now?’ And immediately, or perhaps by chance, she will recite the two lines from a poem by Bui Giang: “Da thua xu Hue bay gio/ Van con nui Ngu ben bo song Huong” (“Yes, sir, Hue now/ Still has Ngu Mount by the Huong river…”)

On the morning of March 22, Bach Ma National Park coordinated with Phu Loc People’s Committee to organize the “Conquering Bach Ma Peak 2026 - Joining Hands to Preserve Biodiversity”.

Along with nearly 76,5 million voters nationwide, close to one million voters in Hue City have just joyfully taken part in the Election Day on March 15th, 2026, achieving an outstanding result: 99,99% voter turnout in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. Beyond the turnout figure, what stands out is the widespread joy and excitement across all regions, as well as the confidence and hope of people from all walks of life placed in a streamlined government, one with sufficient capability and strength to lead the country into a new era of prosperity, civility, and happiness. This is the message conveyed by author Huy Khanh in the article “Confidence in a new term”.

On March 19th, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung, along with members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, including Head of the Internal Affairs Commission Dang Ngoc Tran, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh, and leaders of relevant departments and sectors, held a working session to inspect the construction progress of boarding inter-level schools (primary and lower secondary) in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes.

On the morning of March 20, at Phu An Secondary School, Hue City Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, organized the “Happiness for Children” communication program in response to the International Day of Happiness. The event drew the participation of representatives from various departments and agencies, local authorities, the school’s leadership board, parents, and 50 pairs of parents and students.

Securing a total of 747 medals of all kinds in 2025, including 76 international medals; having numerous coaches and athletes honored with prestigious titles; and leaving notable marks at the 33rd SEA Games and on the continental stage… have, to some extent, confirmed both the foundation and the prospects for a breakthrough in Hue’s high-performance sports in general, and the City Sports Training and Competition Center (the Center) in particular.

Within the cultural complex of Hue, if the system of palaces and royal tombs defines the face of an Imperial capital, the villages along the lagoon and coastline preserve the depth of community life. There, heritage does not lie dormant in the past but lives on in every festival season, every daily custom, and every belief tied to the natural environment. The Cau Ngu Festival of Thai Duong village, held once every three years in January at the Thuan An seaport, is precisely such a heritage - a vibrant cultural practice where community memory, maritime knowledge, and the will to survive have woven together into an enduring whole across hundreds of years.
