In recent days, the mindset of “Preservation for Development” and “Development grounded in Heritage” has become increasingly evident in Hue City’s strategy. Heritage is identified as one of the essential pillars for sustainable tourism development, serving as a driving force for balanced and inclusive socio-economic development.

Taking advantage of favorable weather, these days, farmers across the city are simultaneously returning to their fields to restore and tend their vegetable plots, ensuring supply for the market during the upcoming Lunar New Year.

After days of floods, Hue welcomes the cold along with light, lingering rain, in between dry days and occasional sunshine. Once again, Hue gently returns to its peaceful rhythm of everyday life, preparing itself as best as possible to welcome the New Year 2026.

“Promoting the value of Hue’s local specialties through experiential tourism” was the theme of a specialized workshop organized by Hue Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support over 2 days, December 13 and 14.

After three days of activities, the International Tea Festival - Hue 2025 officially concluded on the evening of December 12th with a closing ceremony and the artistic performance titled “Moon Dance of Tea Blossoms”.

Over the two days of December 11 and 12, Hue City mobilized forces and vehicles to implement peak period patrol, inspection, and control to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; while also assessing the national defense and security situation in the city's waters.

On the afternoon of December 10, Hue City Fine Arts Association, in collaboration with the University of Arts, Hue University, organized the opening ceremony of the Fine Arts Exhibition celebrating the 74th anniversary of Vietnam Fine Arts Traditional Day (December 10, 1951 - December 10, 2025). The event attracted the participation of many artists and students.

People say that after days submerged in floodwater, when the water recedes, the ground is left with a dull, gloomy gray. Hue starts entering winter, beginning a series of long and wet rainy days. But truly, if tourists could “embrace” this Hue’s weather, they will not only fully experience all the senses with the specialty of Hue rain, but can also feel Hue more vivid and authentical in its profound and peaceful space.

On the morning of November 30, at the Culture and Cinema Center, Hue City Health Department organized a rally to respond to the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, and World AIDS Day 2025.
