‘The Day to Return to the Village’ program helps people harvest rice in Cur Xo

HNN.VN - On September 19, the A Dot Border Guard Station, the Command of the City Border Guard, coordinated with militia, security, and local order forces in A Luoi 4 Commune to help local people harvest rice in Cur Xo, a residential cluster in Huong Lam Village, as part of ‘The Day to Return to the Village’ program.

The rice fields in the Cur Xo residential cluster lie on hilly and sloping terrain, with plots scattered across the area, and access paths that are narrow, steep, and slippery in many sections, making it difficult to bring machinery in for the harvest. As a result, local people mostly have to harvest their rice by hand.

Being aware that the households were short of labor, and taking advantage of favorable weekend weather, officers and soldiers of the A Dot Border Guard Station joined other forces to work in the fields to help local people cut, bundle, and transport rice to collection points. The rice was threshed as soon as it arrived, then cleaned, bagged, and taken home.

The rice harvesting assistance activity was carried out by the A Dot Border Guard Station as part of ‘The Day to Return to the Village’ program, aimed at helping disadvantaged households complete their harvest and safeguard the crop.
