The ceremony to mark the National Innovation Day is a major political and social event, underscoring the Party and State’s strong commitment to promoting innovation comprehensively, and turning innovation mechanisms and policies into action and making them a key driver of the country’s rapid and sustainable development. The event also brings together government agencies, organizations, businesses, research institutes, universities, and domestic and international experts to share knowledge and connect technology and resources, contributing to the development of the national innovation ecosystem.

Supporting and intermediary organizations, investment funds, and experts support connecting stakeholders and facilitating the flow of resources across the innovation ecosystem.
At the event, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) released the 2026 Provincial Innovation Index (PII) results, providing a basis and evidence for localities to develop and implement measures to improve the effectiveness of their innovation activities. The ministry also presented the 2026 Science Initiative Competition Awards, recognizing initiatives and solutions with practical potential, and the 2026 Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Book Awards, honoring works of intellectual, academic, and practical values.
