With the ability to sing and skillfully use the traditional musical instruments, artisan Pi Ke Do, 50, Hong Bac Commune is also jokingly called “king of musical instruments” by the Pa Co people. He has spent more than 30 years researching, and crafting traditional musical instruments and has become an artisan in the most sophisticated musical instruments in A Luoi District.

Over 150 highland residents from Nam Dong and A Luoi received free cataract surgeries, returning to their daily lives. This is the result of two meaningful volunteer surgery missions led by Professor Hattori Tadashi from Hue Eye Hospital and other humanitarian organizations.

Located approximately 4km northwest of the center of A Luoi district, along the Ho Chi Minh Highway, the eco-tourism area of A Nor (Hong Kim commune) has now transformed into a vibrant homestay and farm stay hub in the highlands.

Compared to their peers living in Hue City and the lowlands, children in the mountainous and remote Nam Dong and A Luoi districts are at a significant disadvantage in terms of access to information technology, books, and age-appropriate publications. However, thanks to the efforts of the education sector, local authorities, and schools, the reading spaces for children in these places are increasingly being supplemented with a variety of books and periodicals, helping them have more "good friends" during their breaks or extracurricular activities.

Not only is it simply a habitat for creatures, but the primeval forest of the A Luoi people is also a treasure of precious medicinal herbs and a potential for hiking tourism...

With the concept that "a person only gets married once in their life", the Pa Co people (A Luoi District) always consider the wedding ceremony one of the most important rituals to mark each person's maturity.

Afternoon in the mountains descends very quickly. The cold rain and mountainous wind can not stop children going to the "Stars Class". That is the name of a free English and drawing class for ethnic minority children in difficult circumstances living in the border district of A Luoi. In this class, there are only smiles and joy that make the children do not want to leave.

This season is when herbs are high in medicine and bees make honey. People in the highland of A Luoi then start their hard and dangerous trips looking for vegetables, mushrooms, honey, creek fishes, and so on.

After three years of decontaminating dioxin-infected soil at A So Airport in A Luoi District, on October 24th, the Chemical Corps of the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to announce the completion of soil remediation at the dioxin-contaminated site.

Struggling to make a living, but members of the Folk Arts Club of Trung Son commune (A Luoi) still strive to practice and refine each performance before each show, with enthusiasm to contribute to preserving the soul of culture of the great jungle.
