Enhancing knowledge for school oral healthcare staff in mountainous area

HNN.VN - On October 17, Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, in coordination with A Luoi Medical Center, organized a training course titled “Enhancing knowledge for school oral healthcare staff in 2025”, for school healthcare staff from the communes of A Luoi 1, 2, 3, 4, and A Luoi 5.

Providing an overview of the School oral program

The training course aimed to enhance the professional capacity and practical skills of school healthcare staff, contributing to increasing the effectiveness of dental care and prevention for students - aiming to build a generation of healthy and confident students with bright smiles.

During the program, trainees were introduced to and updated on many practical topics, including: an overview of the School oral program; initial oral care and prevention of common oral diseases; instructions on the daily toothbrushing and Fluoride rinsing procedures at elementary schools; recognizing common oral health issues; the importance of set of teeth, and measures to prevent tooth decay. Furthermore, trainees were also guided on how to select and maintain toothbrushes, effective teeth cleaning methods, and identifying bad habits that affect the teeth and jaw.

Through the training course, healthcare staff gained updated and reinforced their professional knowledge, while also improving their capacity for communication and education on oral health for students. This is a practical activity, contributing to building a safe and healthy school environment, promoting the movement for oral health care in schools, and moving towards the goal of “Healthy smile - Bright future” for students across the communes in A Luoi area.
