On May 10th, Hue - Urban Plastic Reduction in Central Vietnam Project (TVA Project), in coordination with the Department of Tourism and People's Committee of Thuy Thanh Commune (Huong Thuy Town), held the launch ceremony for the low-plastic tourism site at Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge.

On the afternoon of May 8, in celebration of the 39th World Thalassemia Day (May 8, 1986 - May 8, 2025), the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Blue Blouse Club, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and benefactors organized an exchange program and presented gifts to Thalassemia patients receiving treatment at the hospital.

According to the report of 2024 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) released by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) recently, Hue City made a strong impression by entering the top 10 localities with the best economic governance quality in the country, scoring a total of 71.13 points, ranking 6th out of 63 provinces and cities.

Data compiled from the Google Destination Insights travel trend tracker reveals that Vietnam has the 7th highest destination growth rate globally. Notably, Hue is among the top 10 most searched cities in Vietnam by international visitors.

Alongside bo kho (beef stew) and com tam (broken rice), bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodles) has just been ranked among the 100 best breakfasts in the world for 2025 by the renowned culinary website TasteAtlas.

Taking place in the space at the Hue Imperial Citadel, the exhibition of bonsais, orchids, and ornamental stones from the three regions attracted thousands of visitors. The event also honored 104 most excellent works from the three regions all over the country.

On the evening of April 27th, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held the final night of La Voix 2025 under the theme “Revel in French Music” and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the French Club of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

On the morning of April 19, Hue University held an inaugurating ceremony and put into operation the Library of the University of Economics, Hue University.

After concluding Stage 9 of Truong Tien - Phu Xuan, the 37th National Cycling Tournament for Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup, themed “United Homeland”, kicked off Stage 10 on the morning of April 13th, starting from Hue City to Da Nang City. This year, the starting point was held at Phu Van Lau (Le Duan Street), instead of the usual location at Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema.

On April 10th, the General Library of Hue City announced its coordination with various organizations to host numerous events and activities throughout April in celebration of the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025.
