In the bright picture of Vietnam’s tourism which has made a strong recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, Hue tourism shows positive signs in terms of strong growth in the number of international visitors and expanding the market of international tourists.

Although he did not study art from a young age, Le Trung Kien quickly became one of the standout names among the young artists of the ancient capital city. Making an impression at the 7th Ancient Capital Literature and Art Awards, Le Trung Kien, born in 1993, is one of the “young factors” that the “pillars” of the ancient capital’s artistic community believe will be the “sweet fruit” of Thua Thien Hue’s fine arts.

On October 1, Quang Dien District, along with relevant agencies and units, organized the inauguration ceremony of a stele engraved with the poem titled “Viet Bac”, by the poet To Huu in both Vietnamese and Tay languages, at the Cultural Park and Memorial Site of To Huu (Quang Tho Commune, Quang Dien District).

To prepare for the upcoming final round of the Provincial Innovation Startup Competition 2024, on September 30, the Department of Science and Technology held a training session for representatives of 15 ideas and projects competing in the final round of this competition.

On the morning of September 29, the project of Hue – Plastic Reduction Urban in the Central region of Vietnam, funded by WWF-Norway (through WWF-Vietnam and received by the People’s Committee of Hue City) in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Hue City organized a ceremony to hand over 2 garbage trucks worth nearly 10 billion VND.

On the afternoon of September 27, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held a conference to evaluate the work of sending laborers abroad under contracts for the first nine months of the year and to outline tasks for the last three months of 2024. The conference also aimed to discuss and address questions from relevant units and service companies regarding the advantages, difficulties, and challenges in sending laborers abroad.

On the afternoon of September 25, the Provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to honor “Exemplary citizens of Thua Thien Hue province” in 2023 and award various state-level awards to groups and individuals.

On the morning of September 25th, the Center for Social Work and the Child Protection Fund (CSW-CPF), in collaboration with the Vietnam Child Protection Fund and the Hope Foundation, organized a scholarship award program for students with disabilities, agent orange victims from various districts, towns, and Hue City, as well as children of fishermen facing difficult circumstances in Quang Dien and Phu Loc districts.

On the afternoon of September 19, the Provincial Tourism Association, in collaboration with Vietnam Tourism Association, organized a conference themed “Promoting, advertising, and connecting Hue tourism in 2024”.

There have been signs of advances in Taekwondo, the province's strong sport, which was selected as a key sport in group 1 in the 2021-2025 period.
