| For the first time, the Organizing Committee presented a Special Prize to a group of authors with an outstanding project |
Over the past 18 contests, thousands of projects have been submitted at grassroots, district, and town levels, with 1,778 projects selected to compete at the city level. Of these, 718 projects have received awards; 42 have won national awards, and 3 have earned international recognition.
Being held annually, the Contest aims to spark potential and foster creative thinking among the city’s youth and children, guiding their activities toward meaningful contributions to society. It also helps them enhance knowledge, develop creative skills, and build the dream of “becoming inventors in the future”. The contest has been and is doing good work as an enriching activity for young participants. It also has opened a new approach to education, one that links classroom learning with real-world applications, research, and creativity, helping students become familiar with scientific thinking and methodologies.
In 2025, a total of 187 projects were selected from 9 districts, towns, and high schools, as well as from colleges and clubs, to participate in the contest, covering five areas: Learning tools (43 projects); Software (24 projects); Environmentally friendly products (54 projects); Household tools and children’s toys (30 projects); and Technical solutions for environmental protection, climate change response, and economic development (36 projects).
At the closing and award ceremony of the 18th contest in 2025, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 47 projects, including: 1 Special Prize, 5 First Prizes, 7 Second Prizes, 10 Third Prizes, and 24 Consolation Prizes to individual and group authors. This year, the Special Prize was awarded to the group of Vo Tran Minh Thu and Le Phuong Anh (Hai Ba Trung High School) for their “Designing and digitizing monuments and artifacts to preserve and promote the cultural value of Champa for high school students in Hue City” project.

| Launching the 19th Youth and Children’s Innovation Contest in 2026 |
To acknowledge the contributions of supervising teachers, the Organizing Committee also presented commemorative medals to those whose guided projects winning awards. In addition, certificates of merit were awarded to 5 collectives for outstanding achievements in organizing and promoting the contest. The ceremony also included the presentation of Vallet Scholarships to the Special Prize-winning group and commemorative medals to recognize exceptional authors who overcame difficulties to innovate and participate in the contest.
Immediately following the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee officially launched the 19th Youth and Children’s Innovation Contest in Hue City for 2026, calling on broader participation from the city’s youth and children to foster a movement of scientific and technological innovation, encouraging them to develop creative thinking and continuously study to contribute to a better future.
