On the morning of October 15, Hue University (HU) held its opening ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year.

With an excellent performance in the final match of the Road to Olympia, Vo Quang Phu Duc, a 12th grade student of Specialized Math Class No. 1 at Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, brought the laurel wreath back to his hometown, becoming the third one of the school to become the champion after Ho Ngoc Han (in 2009) and Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (in 2016). After winning the 2024 Road to Olympia Championship, on the afternoon of October 14, Vo Quang Phu Duc, a 12th grade student majoring in Math, class 1 at Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, returned to school in a warm welcome from teachers, friends and family.

At the 7th Ancient Capital Literature and Arts Awards, musician Le Quang Vu (born in 1968) with his Symphony Poetry “Green City along the Perfume River” won the A prize in the music category. That being said, he is also known by the musicians in particular and music lovers in general as the “conductor” of Hue Brass Orchestra.

In the final round of the 24th “Road to Mount Olympia” (with Vietnamese title being “Duong len dinh Olympia”), which was live broadcast on the morning of October 13, Vo Quang Phu Duc, a representative of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, excellently won the laurel wreath.

On October 11, representatives of the Hue Museum of Fine Arts’s leaders informed that after their meeting, the Art Collection Appraisal Council of the museum reached a consensus to suggest the Provincial People’s Committee to collect 4 artworks in 2024.

On the morning of October 11th, the Department of Tourism announced that Thua Thien Hue has added another resort to its list of 5-star accommodations, marking the 10th tourism establishment in the province to meet this standard.

On the afternoon of October 10, the Provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with businesses to celebrate Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day. The event was chaired by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong, and it also had the participation of leaders from related departments, industries, and units, as well as nearly 300 local businesses.
