On February 6th, Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) launched the At Ty Spring (Lunar New Year of the Snake) 2025 “Tree Planting Festival – Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho” at Emperor Gia Long’s Mausoleum.

It was not by chance that the five-panel Ao dai appeared in 1744 during the reign of Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat, merely by an order from the lord’s court.

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism, during the nine-day Lunar New Year of the Snake (At Ty)holiday from January 25th to February 2nd (December 26th to the January 5th in the lunar calendar), Hue welcomed an estimated 150,300 visitors, marking a nearly 37% increase compared to the same period during the Year of the Dragon Tet holiday in 2024.

On the evening of February 1st, at Thuong Bac Park, Phu Xuan District Youth Union, in collaboration with District Center for Culture, Information, and Sports, organized the 2025 cultural program “Mung Dang Quang Vinh” (In Celebration of the Glorious Party).

According to the information announced on the night of January 31 by the Department of Tourism, in the 7-day period from January 25 to 31, 2025 (from the December 26 of the lunar Year of Giap Thin to the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year of At Ty), the number of tourists coming to Hue was estimated over 118,600 arrivals, witnessing an increase of 35% to the same period last year.

On the night of January 22, in Phong Phu Ward, Phong Dien Town, the 1st Yellow Apricot Festival 2025 kicked off with the theme “Masterpieces of Spring”.

An exhibition commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025 was organized by Hue City History Museum. The exhibition opened on January 22 at 268 Dien Bien Phu Street, Truong An Ward, Thuan Hoa District.

On the afternoon of January 19th, the third annual Hue Yellow Apricot Festival - Masterpieces of Spring 2025 - was commenced at Thuong Bac Park (Tran Hung Dao Street, Phu Xuan District). This festival is dedicated to honoring Hue's signature flower, the Yellow Apricot Blossom.

On January 20, the University of Education, Hue University, organized a program themed “Spring Connecting - Tet Sharing”, taking students to return home to celebrate At Ty Lunar new year - 2025.

In the recent top 10 list of affordable and ideal relaxing destinations for Singaporean tourists in 2025, released by UK-based Time Out magazine, Vietnam is represented by two cities: Hue and Da Nang.
