Nearly 2,000 students from provinces and cities across the country will gather in Hue City to participate in 2025 National Sports Games for General Education Students, taking place from June 8 to 16.

For the past 10 years, Professor Dung Nguyen (Stanford University, US) has partnered in humanitarian plastic and aesthetic surgery programs with hospitals in Hue City, Vietnam. She has also made significant contributions to training, teaching, and transferring reconstructive, aesthetic, and microsurgery techniques to doctors across the country.

For four consecutive years, Hue City has ranked among the top 10 provinces and cities nationwide in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI). This is a remarkable achievement for Thua Thien Hue (now Hue City), especially in the context of increasingly fierce competition among localities to attract investment. The result not only reflects a stable business and investment environment, but also demonstrates a significant shift in governance mindset and the improved quality of the civil servants – a pioneering force in building a service-oriented government.

The Suzucho Karate-Do International Clubs Championship 2025 was held from May 23 to 24 at Arena No. 1 on Ha Huy Tap Street, Hue City. This first-ever tournament was co-hosted by the Suzucho Karate-Do School of Vietnam and Hue City's Department of Culture and Sports.

May 16, 2025 saw a range of activities in Hue to commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of renowned cultural luminary Dang Huy Tru. This information was shared by the organizing committee of Mega Booming Music Festival - Hue 2025 on the morning of May 22. They stated that over 13,500 tickets had already been distributed and sold through ticketing platforms as well as the program’s partners.

On the morning of May 21, the City Youth Union in coordination with the Department of Education and Training organized the 2025 Hue City Youth Informatics Competition.

On May 19, the ceremony of signing sponsorship between the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2025 and Carlsberg Vietnam was held at Hue City People’s Committee. After a day of lively and intense competition, the 2025 Hue University (HU) Open Chess and Chinese Chess Tournament for students, organized by Hue University Student Association, ended on the afternoon of May 18th.
