HNN.VN - As part of experiential education activities aligned with the national general education curriculum, on January 23, nearly 300 students from Hue University of Sciences High School for the Gifted visited the Museum of Nature in the Central Coastal Region (No. 5 Diem Phung Thi Street, Vy Da Ward) for study tours and hands-on learning experiences.

At the museum, students explored in-depth exhibitions on biodiversity and the region’s characteristic ecosystems of the Central Coast, while directly engaging with specimens, scientific materials, and visual displays. Guided by the museum’s professional staff, the content was delivered in a structured and engaging manner, helping to reinforce knowledge and broaden students’ interdisciplinary understanding in the natural sciences.

In addition to visiting, the program placed strong emphasis on experiential learning, encouraging students to observe, discuss, ask questions, and connect theoretical knowledge with real-world contexts. Through these activities, the program helped foster scientific thinking, research skills, and greater awareness of nature and environmental conservation, in line with the principles of education for sustainable development.

Notably, students had the opportunity to experience NFC technology within the exhibition spaces, enabling them to use personal devices to quickly access detailed information about the specimens. This is one of the digital transformation solutions currently being implemented by the Museum of Nature in the Central Coastal Region to modernize its exhibitions, enhance interactivity, and effectively support learning and scientific research.

Reopening to the public on January 1, 2026, after an extended period of renovation, infrastructure upgrades, and exhibition enhancement, the Museum of Nature in the Central Coastal Region now displays nearly 6,000 specimens of significant scientific and educational value, reflecting the distinctive ecosystems of tropical rainforests, coastal brackish lagoons, and the region’s natural resources.

Since reopening, the Museum of Nature in the Central Coastal Region has welcomed numerous visiting groups from both within and outside the city, the majority of whom are students and university learners. This underscores the museum’s role as an important scientific and educational institution, working alongside schools in innovating teaching methods and bringing science closer to students.
