Over 300 Students of the University of Medicine & Pharmacy, Hue University Join the Green Summer Volunteer Campaign

Running through the end of August 2026, the campaign will feature a wide range of practical activities aimed at promoting community healthcare, supporting residents in disadvantaged areas, and spreading the spirit of volunteerism, dedication, and compassion among medical students.

Accordingly, the campaign will focus on several key activities, including volunteer programs in remote and underserved areas. One of the highlights is the implementation of the Green Summer program in A Luoi 4 Commune, featuring medical check-ups, health consultations, health education and communication, community support activities, and youth-led volunteer projects.

Volunteer activities at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital will include a series of Green Summer programs to support patients, guide them through medical examination and treatment procedures, provide care and encouragement, and work alongside healthcare professionals in community service activities. The campaign will also promote voluntary blood donation through the “Sharing Drops of Blood” - satellite blood donation program, contributing to replenishing blood supplies for emergency care and treatment at healthcare facilities.

Furthermore, volunteers will also join a series of voluntary healthcare and nutrition counseling activities for children and adults in the local area.

The activities aim to express the proactive spirit of young people in carrying out the political tasks of the locality and the university, while leveraging the professional expertise of medical students and spreading the tradition of “Medical and Pharmacy Students: Knowledgeable - Compassionate - Dedicated - Volunteer for Community Health.”
