On the afternoon of March 13, the Youth Union of Hue City Department of Health organized a voluntary blood donation program under the theme “From White Blouses to Pink Drops of Blood”, drawing the participation of leaders and a large number of officials, civil servants, and youth union members from the health sector.

On the morning of March 8, the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital coordinated with the Youth Union of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, and the Living Blood Bank Club of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy to organize a voluntary blood donation program.

On February 24, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Quang Dien Commune, in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital, organized the 2026 Xuan Hong (Spring of Red) Festival with the theme “Donate a drop of blood - Give life a chance”.

Across the fields of Quang Dien, Hue City, there is a farmer who has quietly sowed the seeds of kindness for nearly three decades. Without fanfare or publicity, Van Sinh, 53, a resident of Tan Xuan Lai Village, has silently donated blood 86 times, bringing hope and life to dozens, perhaps hundreds, of people.

On August 25, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Hoa Chau Ward in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital organized the “Voluntary Blood Donation Day” festival.

On the morning of July 11, Hue Central Hospital hosted the voluntary blood and platelet donation program titled “White Blouse - Pink Heart”, with the participation of 350 staff members and medical personnel currently working at the hospital. This annual event aims to help address the summer blood shortage while also promoting a spirit of compassion and solidarity within the medical community.

They are ordinary teachers, workers, and officer, yet when a patient urgently needs platelets, they immediately depart without a moment of hesitation. The Huong Thuy Platelet Donation Club, for many years, has quietly spread life through the compassion of their generous hearts.

On May 19, in Phu Loc district, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Hue City, in coordination with Hue Central Hospital and the People's Committee of Phu Loc district, organized the opening ceremony of the 8th “Red Journey - Red Drops of Hue” program in 2025. This event is part of a series of activities in response to the nationwide blood donation campaign – the Red Journey, towards the celebration of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

On May 17, the Mobile Police Division of Hue City Police Department announced that three officers from the unit had promptly donated blood, successfully helping to save a patient suffering from blood cancer who was in critical condition at Hue Central Hospital.

On the morning of January 12, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union – the Secretariat of the City Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital, Hue University, Red Cross Society, and the Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the city, organized the 17th “Red Sunday” voluntary blood donation festival in 2025.
