Sharing​ knowledge and transferring modern techniques

HNN.VN - On June 20 and 21, at the the Training Center of Hue Central Hospital, the Neurosurgery Conference for Training Doctos and the Vietnam Neurosurgical Nursing Conference took place. The events were organized by the Vietnam Neurosurgical Society in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital.

Attending the event were Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Chi Tai ; leaders of hospitals; and 400 delegates including doctors, neurosurgeons, and nurses specializing in neurosurgery from major hospitals in Vietnam and abroad.

With the themes "Approaching Advanced Techniques in Neurosurgery for Young Surgeons" and "Postoperative Care for Spine and Brain Surgery Patients", nearly 100 scientific reports were presented, focusing on significant advances in the treatment of neurological diseases - especially the application of high technology in surgery and patient care.

At the conference, experts from Japan and Vietnam introduced a series of in-depth topics such as: bypass techniques for treating Moyamoya disease, endoscopic spine surgery, treatment of cerebral aneurysms, craniopharyngioma surgery, and treatment of hydrocephalus.

Notably, new technologies such as 3D simulation, fluorescence microscopy, artificial intelligence, and neuronavigation systems were highlighted as major breakthroughs for improving treatment outcomes. Additionally, experts from Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore, along with doctors from leading Vietnamese hospitals such as Viet Duc Hospital, Military Hospital 108, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Ho Chi Minh City, shared experiences, updated new trends, and introduced modern surgical techniques such as the Vitom-3D system, insular glioma surgery, and endoscopic skull base surgery.

In the nursing sessions, topics such as postoperative neurosurgical care and rehabilitation after spinal cord injury were thoroughly discussed. Practical studies from hospitals like the National Children's Hospital, Thanh Nhan Hospital, and Viet Duc Hospital provided diverse and applicable insights.

This conference served as a prestigious scientific forum to strengthen connections, transfer technology, and lay a solid foundation for training the next generation of young neurosurgeons.

Also on the morning of June 21, under the authorization of the Ministry of Health, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony to award the "For the People’s Health" commemorative medal to Dr. Tanaka Yoshihide, Director of the Brain and Neurosurgery Center at Yokosuka Kyosai Hospital (Japan), in recognition of his significant contributions to the development of Vietnam's healthcare sector.
