Free examination and reconstructive surgery for 10 patients

HNN.VN - On February 22, Hue Dental Hospital (under the Department of Health) collaborated with Resurge International, Stanford University (USA), and the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery to conduct screenings for patients from Hanoi, Long An, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and other locations. This program is part of the breast reconstruction surgery week for post-cancer patients.

 Examination and evaluation of patients before surgery

The program focuses on breast reconstruction after breast cancer, related breast surgeries, facial paralysis treatment, brachial plexus nerve treatment, and microsurgical reconstruction to cover defects in the upper-lower limbs and torso. Surgeries are scheduled from February 23-26.

10 patients will receive free surgeries, premium implants, and necessary equipment. The average cost per surgery is approximately 35 million VND.

As part of the event, experts from domestic and international organizations will conduct a Continuing Medical Education (CME) course at the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy for 50-70 doctors nationwide in the field of reconstructive surgery.
