16 Innovative Startup Ideas and Projects Receive Support

On October 17, Hue University hosted the final round and awards ceremony of its 9th Startup and Innovation Competition 2026. Following 3 rounds of competition, 8 outstanding projects advanced to the final, where the ideas were presented to the judging panel and investors.

The growth model relying heavily on capital and low-cost labor is gradually showing its limitations, while science and technology, AI, semiconductors, blockchain (a decentralized digital database), and digital assets are opening up new growth opportunities. However, turning these potentials into real resources requires a shift in institutional thinking from passively managing problems as they arise to proactively creating space for development.

On the afternoon of September 24, a delegation from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission had a working meeting with Hue Monuments Conservation Center to discuss the preservation and promotion of Hue’s cultural heritage, traditional performing arts, and the application of science and technology in heritage digitalization.

Hue has significant room for industrial development, especially as the city expands its development space. This was affirmed by Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Member of the Standing Committee of Hue Party Committee and Head of Hue Economic and Industrial Zones Management Board, in an interview with Hue Today Weekly on the advantages driving the growth of the city’s industrial sector.

Changes in planning, infrastructure, and development space as Hue became a centrally governed municipality are opening up more room for the real estate market. However, experts said that this potential can translate into real value only when projects link to infrastructure, user demand, and the characteristics of a heritage city.
