Leaders Express Joy and Positive Outlook on Cooperation

The surgical program for children with cleft lip and palate serves as a foundation for long-term and strong collaboration between the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HUMP), the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Alliance for Smiles Organization, and the Rotary Club of Saigon.

Previously on November 10th, specialists from the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Alliance for Smiles conducted a screening for children with congenital cleft lip and palate conditions, as well as post-surgical defects such as severe lip scars and nasal lip deformities from various provinces across the country. In addition to the screening, children who registered for the program also received pre- and post-surgery speech therapy consultations from experts. Children who meet the health and qualification standards after the screening will be scheduled for surgery from November 11th to 15th, 2024, under the program's theme, "Lighting Up Vietnamese Smiles."

Within the program framework, the Hospital of Hue University  of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Alliance for Smiles Organization will co-host three seminars for doctors, nurses, and trainees specializing in pediatrics, anesthesiology & resuscitation, and nursing. This offers healthcare staff the opportunity to update their professional knowledge and enhance their expertise.
