Awarding 4 Doctoral degrees, 18 Master degrees to graduates, 173 Engineers and Bachelors
HNN.VN - On the afternoon of July 4th, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University (HUAF) held a graduation ceremony and awarded degrees to PhD, Master's, Engineering, Bachelor's, and Veterinary Medicine graduates.

The leader of HUAF presented PhD degrees to four Doctoral candidates, Master’s degrees to 18 postgraduates, as well as Bachelor’s degrees to graduates, and veterinary medicine to 145 full-time students and 28 part-time students. Among the full-time students, 9% achieved excellent grades; 25% achieved very good; 59% good; and 7% average. For part-time students, 100% achieved good, very good, or excellent results.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thanh Duc, President of HUAF, emphasized the university's mission: “To educate and provide high-quality human resources and advanced, efficient scientific-technological products to promote agricultural and rural development in the Central Region, the Central Highlands, and across the country, aligned with integration and development”.
HUAF was officially assigned the task of postgraduate training under Decision No. 1946/QĐ-SĐH dated September 16th, 1993; initially, it offered programs in crop production, animal farming, and land management. For more than 30 years, to meet society’s increasing demand for highly qualified personnel, the university has continuously improved its training quality, staff capacity, and infrastructure. As of now, it has developed 11 Master's programs and 9 PhD programs, among which, there are 2 bilingual (Vietnamese-English) training programs for PhD degree and 2 for Master degrees.
The university has consistently prioritized the development and renewal of training programs to align with and meet societal needs. For PhD training, the programs are designed for 3-4 years; Master’s programs are designed for 2 years. The standard undergraduate program for Veterinary Medicine (54th intake, graduating this term) includes 162 credits; from 127 to 130 credits for the 55th intake in other majors, and 76 credits for the university’s bridging (inter-collegiate) program.
