Welcoming the lagoon's bounty

HNN.VN - As the first scattered rains usher in cooler weather, fishermen in Tam Giang - Cau Hai Lagoon begin their most eagerly awaited fishing season of the year. On a lucky night, a single fishing trip can bring in VND 5-7 million. But behind those earnings are sleepless nights, exhausting hours of setting and hauling in nets, and long stretches spent wading through cold water. Sharing in the fishermen's joy, Quang Tam said: “More than just a bountiful fishing season, we hope that for many years to come, Tam Giang - Cau Hai will remain rich in aquatic life, and the fish markets along the lagoon will continue to bustle with activity every morning.”
