94 Nguyen Chi Thanh Merit Scholarships Are Awarded to Students Winning National Prizes
HNN.VN - In celebration of the 136th anniversary of the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), on May 18, the Nguyen Chi Thanh Merit Scholarship Fund under the Hue City Association for Promoting Education held a ceremony to award scholarships to students with outstanding achievements in the 2025-2026 National Excellent Student Competition. The award ceremony took place at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

During this scholarship-awarding ceremony, the Nguyen Chi Thanh Merit Scholarship Fund granted scholarships to 94 students who won prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition. Specifically, 4 students secured first prizes, each received VND 5 million; 20 second-prize winners were awarded VND 3 million per student; 34 third-prize winners received VND 2 million per student; and 36 students earning consolation prizes were granted VND 1 million per student. The total value of scholarships awarded in this round amounted to VND 184 million.
In the 2025-2026 National Excellent Student Competition for high school students, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted had 108 students competing in various subjects, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics, biology, literature, history, geography, English, French, and Japanese. As a result, 90 students won prizes, including 4 first prizes (1 in informatics, 1 in geography, and 2 in French), 20 second prizes, 34 third prizes, and 32 consolation prizes. In addition, Hue High School for the Gifted, University of Sciences had 37 students participating in the competition, with 4 students winning consolation prizes in literature.
Nguyen Chi Thanh Merit Scholarship Fund aims to encourage and inspire students in their learning and research pursuits, while further promoting and expanding the movement for educational encouragement and talent development across Hue City.
