Ms. Sarah Hooper expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from Hue City's leaders and congratulated the city on officially becoming the sixth centrally-governed municipality in Vietnam. She reaffirmed that Australia takes great pride in its comprehensive partnership with Vietnam.
This strong foundation enables Australian enterprises to conduct in-depth research on agriculture and climate change in Vietnam, including in Hue City. In hope for further cooperation and friendship activities with Vietnam, particularly Hue City, Australia aims to focus on renewable energy, education, and agriculture – the key areas in Vietnam-Australia partnership.
Ms. Sarah Hooper stated that Australian businesses are also interested in investing in Hue, particularly in enterprise development, renewable energy, human resource training, education, and healthcare; and strengthening cooperation in various fields, including culture, education, economics, and community development. With its unique historical and cultural significance, Hue is a promising partner for these cooperative initiatives. Australia remains committed to nurturing and supporting the potential for future collaboration.
