Free plastic surgeries for 100 patients

HNN.VN - On February 28, Hue Central Hospital informed that the hospital is receiving patients from across the country who are requiring to register for free plastic surgery through multiple channels. This activity is a part of the cooperation between the Interplast Delegation (Federal Republic of Germany) and the hospital.

 Experts from Interplast and Hue Central Hospital collaborating in plastic surgery for a pediatric patient

Patients will receive free clinical examination, preoperative test, surgery, and postoperative care

The program is expected to perform surgeries for around 100 patients with facial skeletal disharmonies requiring orthognathic surgery, congenital cleft lip and palate deformities, severe scars from burns or facial trauma; and alveolar clefts requiring bone grafting, etc.

The registration opens until March 19. The preoperative examination and surgical assessment will take place from March 8 to 19. The surgeries will be performed from March 10 to 20.

On the morning of March 25, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had held a discharge ceremony for a pediatric patient with thalassemia (a hereditary blood disorder) following a successful bone marrow transplant using marrow donated by the patient’s older sister. This is the 15th thalassemia bone marrow transplant performed at the hospital, marking an important step forward in the treatment of genetic hematologic diseases.
