According to the Organizing Committee, from November 23 to 30, the “100 Flavors - Michelin-Starred Chefs” event week will take place in Ho Chi Minh City and Hue City, as part of the activities for the “National Tourism Year 2025”. This is the first time Vietnam welcomes 13 Michelin-starred chefs, the culinary elites from various countries coming together for an international-scale gastronomic event, including Italy, France, the UK, Greece, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, the United States, and Taiwan (China).
Accompanying “100 Flavors” is the global culinary project titled Dinner Incredible, founded by Chef Giorgio Diana, which has made its mark in Rome, Tokyo, Singapore, and New York. With the connection of Chef Michael Bao, Vietnam becomes the next destination in this international culinary journey, in which, Vietnam is considered not only for its diversity in ingredients, but also for the position of a land of heritage, culture, and creative inspiration.
As part of the program’s activities, on November 26 at La Vela Saigon Hotel (Ho Chi Minh City), the opening event will be a gala dinner celebrating contemporary cuisine in a luxurious 5-star space. Following that, on November 28 in Hue City, the program will recreate the “Royal Banquet”, a court-style culinary experience combined with Royal Court Music, an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, honoring the cultural depth of Vietnamese cuisine at Hue Times Square (5 Le Loi, by the Huong River).
Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized: “Hue City is honored to accompany and serve as a destination for the “100 Flavors - Michelin-Starred Chefs” event. With the depth of its royal culinary heritage and distinctive cultural traditions, Hue is committed to creating the best conditions for international chefs to fully express their creative inspiration and help spread the value of Vietnamese cuisine to the world”.
The Permanent Vice Chairman affirmed: “We hope that through the convergence of global culinary excellence and the unique identity of Hue, this event will not only create extraordinary gastronomic experiences, but also open new pathways for development, helping Hue become one of the leading culinary, cultural, and tourism centers in the Asian region”.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh expressed his expectations that the 13 Michelin-starred chefs are ambassadors of culture and creativity. Their presence in Hue affirms that this heritage city not only preserves its past but is also ready to integrate, innovate, and shape the future.
A representative of the Organizing Committee of the “100 Flavors - Michelin-Starred Chefs” event expressed their appreciation for the warm reception from Hue City. They also emphasized: “The gathering of 13 Michelin-starred chefs in Vietnam is a journey for the world to discover the beauty of Vietnamese cuisine through the eyes of leading creative and refined culinary artists. Hue is an exceptional destination, as it carries the imprint of the Imperial Palace, the Royal Court Music, and regal feasts passed down through generations”.
