At the ceremony, delegates watched a documentary highlighting the process of liberating A So, as well as the construction and development of A Luoi 4 Commune over the past 60 years. They also listened to presentations delivered by the Veterans Association and the Youth Union.
The A So victory was not only a military success, but also a symbol of the resilience, solidarity, and the will for independence and self-reliance of the ethnic groups in A Luoi. It stands as clear evidence of the strength of the great national unity bloc and unwavering trust in the Party and beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
Upholding this glorious revolutionary tradition, the Party committee, government, and People of A Luoi communes have united and made efforts to overcome numerous challenges, gradually building an increasingly developed homeland.

Notably, the (formerly) A Luoi District officially escaped poverty in 2024, marking an important milestone in achieving sustainable poverty reduction goal, contributing significantly to the transition of Thua Thien Hue Province (now Hue City) into a centrally-governed municipality in 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, emphasized that the 60th anniversary of A So’s Liberation Day is not only an occasion to review heroic history, but also a motivation for every official, Party member, and citizen to continue striving to build an increasingly prosperous and civilized homeland.
