In the 2024-2025 academic year, the college enrolled 74 Lao international students, including 72 studying Vietnamese language programs; and 2, at the master’s level. Alongside structured and methodical teaching, Hue College placed strong emphasis on creating a friendly learning and living environment through a wide range of practical support and exchange activities. Notable events such as Bunpimay Festival, celebrations of Lao National Day, and Lao Student Support Day, … helped students quickly adapt to their new academic environment, stabilize their mental health, and focus on their study and personal development.
By the end of the 2025-2026 enrollment season, Hue College had admitted 95 Lao international students, exceeding its target. Building on this achievement, the college has identified that in the 2025-2026 academic year, their main focus will place on enhancing Vietnamese language proficiency, closely linking with digital skills training to help students adapt to digital transformation and advances in science and technology. At the same time, the college will continue to maintain and expand cultural, artistic, sports, and experiential activities… to improve training quality, thereby contributing to the nurturing of the special solidarity, friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos.
Since 2002, Hue College has provided Vietnamese language training and academic management for nearly 1,600 international students from southern and central Laos, enrolled in a wide range of disciplines at levels from college and undergraduate to master’s and doctoral programs. After graduation, these students have been assigned to positions in Lao government agencies, organizations, local authorities, mass organizations, and enterprises, as well as companies and corporations across ASEAN countries, including Vietnam.
