The discussion focused on major themes shaping the global digital economy, such as: the application of data science and artificial intelligence (AI) for innovation; data policy, infrastructure, and markets; human resources and technology promoting innovation; and policy and investment for the data economy.
Experts from France, Germany, Canada, Singapore, Belgium, and other countries brought up international perspectives, shared practical experiences in data implementation and governance across various sectors from healthcare, energy, and education to the creative industries. According to them, Vietnam is facing a major opportunity to define a national strategy for the data economy, as its digital infrastructure and technology workforce are developing rapidly.

The seminar also featured a technology exhibition space of the startups in the fields of data processing, collection, and analysis, along with networking programs connecting experts, investors, and innovation-driven businesses.
During the presentations, specialists discussed several in-depth topics such as: “Data Centers - The Driving Force for Digital Transformation and Economic and Environmental Challenges”, “Applying Federated Learning in Biomedical Data Security”, “A National Strategy for Open-Source Data in AI Development”, and “Blockchain - Building Trusted Data Foundations for Enterprise Digital Transformation”.
According to the delegates, effective development of the data economy requires close collaboration among the state, enterprises, research institutes, and experts, similar to successful international models such as BDVA (EU), Data.gov (USA), and AI Singapore. The VDEN network is expected to become a bridge of knowledge, bringing together initiatives and implementing data projects of regional and global scale, contributing to Vietnam’s journey of innovation and creativity.
