A technical innovation contest at the College of Hue

Speaking at the forum, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, said that amid constantly shifting technology and labor market, having a profession provides a foundation, but the ability to adapt and innovate is crucial for long-term development. The workforce in the new era needs not only professional knowledge and vocational skills, but also discipline, technological capability, problem-solving abilities, a spirit of lifelong learning, and innovative thinking.

Students at the College of Hue have an advantage, as the training programs emphasize linking theory with professional practice. With practical training accounting for roughly 70% of the curriculum, along with internships and hands-on experience alongside businesses, students have more opportunities to develop their skills, improve their professional capabilities, and meet the demands of the labor market.

As for entrepreneurship, the forum emphasized that it is an option, rather than a mandatory requirement. After graduation, students can work for businesses, pursue further education, develop their professional expertise, or start their own projects or businesses…

For its part, Vice Rector of the College of Hue Dang Thi Quynh Lan encouraged students to proactively equip themselves with knowledge and skills, and boldly explore and experiment with new ideas, thereby fostering their creativity and better preparing them for their career paths.
