Also in attendance were representatives from the Department of External Relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Standing Member of the City Party Committee, Head of Economic and Budget Committee of Hue City People's Council; and Mr. Ha Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Council.
This was the opening activity in a series of programs to promote Vietnamese localities in Australia in 2025, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the working session, Mr. Tran Ba Phuc, Chairman of the VBAA, introduced about the Vietnamese community in Australia, the association's activities, and prominent businesses. Mr. Phuc emphasized that the Vietnamese business community in Australia always wants to contribute to the development of their homeland. He also suggested that Vietnamese localities create favorable conditions for connecting with, and supporting overseas Vietnamese businesses in exploring the investment environment and implementing procedures quickly.
“The VBAA will be an effective bridge between Australian businesses and partners and Hue City in particular, and Vietnamese localities in general, in the coming time,” affirmed Mr. Phuc.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome that the VBAA extended to the delegation. Mr. Phuong also gave an overview of Hue City's socio-economic achievements and development potential to the business community in Australia.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong committed that the city government will always accompany and provide maximum support to investors and businesses, from the initial stages of exploring the investment environment to the commercialization of products. In particular, he emphasized the maximum convenience in administrative procedures, with a focus on being quick, transparent, and efficient. The city government is ready to have direct dialogues and meetings to listen to, and resolve any difficulties or obstacles during the investment process in Hue.

Mr. Phuong also highly appreciated the practical support that the VBAA has provided to Vietnamese localities in the recent time, and expressed his hope that the association will continue to promote and introduce Australian businesses, especially from the state of Victoria - where many businesses have been successful in investment, trade, and logistics - to research investment cooperation in Hue.
The Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong expressed his desire for businesses to boost the export of Hue's specialties and handicrafts to the Australian market, thereby helping to promote Hue’s brand name and culture abroad.
Also during the working session, representatives from several Hue City’s businesses, such as Saigon Hue Investment Joint Stock Company, LEC Group Joint Stock Company, Chan May Port Joint Stock Company, Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company, and IMG Hue Investment Joint Stock Company, etc., introduced their operations, strengths, and cooperation plans with partners in Australia in the coming time.
Immediately following the activity in Victoria, Hue City’s delegation continued its journey to Hobart City, Tasmania, to carry out the next activities in the program to promote Vietnamese localities in Australia in 2025, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
