The meeting took place following an earlier reception by Hue City leaders for Mr. Yan Jiehe, Founder of China Pacific Construction Group. This engagement marked a next step to further enhance exchanges and gain deeper insights into Hue’s development orientations, thereby providing a basis for the Group to study and formulate specific cooperation and investment plans in the coming period.
At the meeting, Mr. Tong Shaoding expressed his honor at visiting Hue to learn about and survey the local investment environment. He stated that Pacific Construction Group aspires to become a strategic partner, accompanying Hue in its medium- and long-term development strategy, particularly in the next 5-10 years. Accordingly, the Group is interested in key transport infrastructure development, smart transport connectivity, expressway projects, as well as urban development and urban upgrading initiatives.
In addition to infrastructure development, the Group also emphasizes technical solutions aimed at improving flood drainage capacity, responding to climate change, and mitigating natural disasters, major challenges facing the central region in general and Hue in particular. Mr. Tong Shaoding underscored that investment and development should follow a sustainable, long-term approach, consistent with natural conditions and the distinctive features of a heritage city.
Recognizing Hue as a city rich in historical and cultural values, Mr. Tong Shaoding noted that the urban development process should be carried out with caution, ensuring a harmonious balance between preservation and development, starting with appropriate changes and gradually improving the quality of urban spaces and residents’ living standards. Through investment cooperation, the Group hopes to contribute to fostering new growth drivers, with a view to helping to build Hue into a key economic and cultural hub of the region in particular and the country in general.
