International visitors to Hue increase by nearly 66% in the first six months

Specifically, the total number of visitors to Hue in 6 months was estimated at 2.38 million arrivals, an increase of 36.36%; in which, international visitors were estimated at 1.01 million arrivals, up to 65.98%. The number of staying tourists reached 1.08 million, up to 14.51%, occupancy rate reached 68.34%. Turnover from tourism was estimated at VND 2,274 billion, an increase of 31.79%.
Hue Festival 2018 is an event attracting guests
Particularly in June 2018, the number of visitors to Hue reached 386 thousand arrivals, up to 24.14%; among them, international visitors were estimated at 122,000 arrivals, up to 67.07%. The staying visitors reached 194 thousand arrivals, increasing by 21.84%. The turnover from tourism in June was estimated at VND 386 billion.
Acting Director of Tourism Department Le Huu Minh informed, the number of visitors to Hue increased sharply in the first 6 months was due to the significant growth of Korean visitors. In addition, many events and festivals took place in the first 6 months have contributed to attracting visitors.
