According to leaders from the Department of Tourism, the Visitor Information and Support Center’s opening marks the official operation of a facility designed to provide cruise ship tourists and crew members with essential travel information.
The center offers various forms of tourism information, including brochures, maps, guidebooks, as well as informations, photos and video clips related to local tourist attractions. It also provides travelers with details to enhance their experience in Hue, covering cultural heritage, community and ecological tourism, spiritual sites, traditional crafts, shopping, and wellness services.
In addition, the center showcases specialty goods, souvenirs, handicrafts, and unique Hue products to promote the culture and image of Hue to cruise passengers. It also assists with arranging tours, booking transportation, dining experiences, hotel reservations, and other requested services.

| Supporting international tourists with information |
The center will also assist cruise visitors in cases of emergencies, such as lost personal belongings or issues of negative experiences (overpricing, theft, or inappropriate behavior) during their shore visits.
On the occasion of the opening ceremony, the Department of Tourism, Chan May Port Joint Stock Company, and other partners welcomed passengers from the Maltese cruise ship Celebrity Millennium, under Royal Caribbean Group, which brought 2,150 passengers and 958 crew members from Malta to Chan May Port at 6 a.m. on October 25th. The Visitor Information and Support Center warmly received its first cruise passengers, offering information and assistance immediately after opening.
