Hue City: Enhancing and promoting at 17th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City

HNN.VN - On the morning of September 7, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the Department of Tourism, representatives from Tourism promotion Information Center, units, and tourism businesses in Hue attended the 17th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City 2023 (ITE HCMC 2023).

The expo opened on the morning of September 7 and it will last for 3 days (from September 7 to 9), attracting the participation or over 300 businesses and 150 high-end buyers from 50 countries and territories around the world, together with over 25.000 visitors.

With the theme “Growing Forward Together”, the expo this year is organized in the form of a live event combined with online activities such as: 2D online stalls, 3D virtual reality expo, online appointment between international buyers and sellers.

This year, the Hue tourism sector attends this expo in the joint stall “5 localities – 1 destination” to introduce the unique strengths, programs, and tourism products of 5 provinces/cities in the cooperative block (including Thua Thien Hue – Da Nang – Quang Nam – Quang Binh – Quang Tri) in general and that of Thua Thien Hue tourism sector in particular.

Thereby, it could push up the destination promotion, information provision, and events which will take place in the last months of 2023 and 2024, together with the tourism stimulus products to visitors and the tourism – service businesses at home and abroad through the work of displaying, introducing, and offline product sales at the expo, etc.

The stall of 5 localities also has various activities such as the game of identifying destinations through typical tourist images of the 5 localities, answering quizzes about the destinations, and giving commemorative gifts to visitors, etc.

On this occasion, the delegation of Hue tourism sector had a working meeting with travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City to meet and make connection to support the airlines and businesses to open the new flights to take tourists to Hue. At the same time, they also provided information on new tourism policies, activity programs, and new tourism services; exchanging, discussing, and solving the problems to create favorable conditions for the businesses when they take tourists to Hue in the coming time.
