Hue city orients types of services and tourism to attract visitors

Being one of the cultural and tourism cities of the country, simultaneously possessing 5 tangible and intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, Hue city has great attraction to tourists, not only in national scope but also in the world. Currently, the whole city has more than 399 tourist accommodation establishments classified from 1 to 5 stars, and standard guest houses with more than 10,000 rooms.

For years, the tourism industry of the city has exploited Hue tourism resources quite effectively, especially cultural heritage tourism associated with historical monuments and architectural art of architectural complex of Hue ancient capital, Relics of Nguyen Dynasty, etc. However, the quality of some tourist products is not high, the types of tourism has not attracted many visitors to Hue.

At the symposium, state management agencies, human resource training centers for the tourism sector, as well as enterprises operating in the field of tourism and services provided assessments on the current status of tourism. They also raised the causes and suggested many feasible solutions to orient the construction of a unique, diversified, synchronous and qualitative tourism product system, in order to make tourism a key economic sector of Hue city. In particular, Hue city should exploit the maximum tourism potential on both sides of Huong River, develop the type of spiritual tourism, develop the services of Ao dai fast-sewing to serve customers; and invest in building shopping and cuisine centers in the City center area.
