On the morning of June 8, the Department of Education and Training held a training conference on examination administration procedures for the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination for school administrators and teachers serving as heads and deputy heads of the examination centers, and secretaries from 37 examination venues across the city.

The principal of Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted announced that Hue City has three 12th-grade students exempted from the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination and granted priority direct admission to universities and colleges. All three students are from Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

According to the results of the 2026 national team selection exam for international and regional Olympiads, Phan Cong Dung, an 11th grade Informatics major student at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, has been selected for the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) team.

In the National Excellent Student Examination for the 2025-2026 academic year, Hue City won four First Prizes. Notably, Geography recorded its first-ever First Prize winner, while French returned to the highest podium position after many years, earning two First Prizes. On December 24, the National Excellent Student Selection Examination for the academic year 2025 - 2026 officially opened at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

Truong Van Hung, a 12th-grade student from the Math specialized class 2 at Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, has just become the top scorer of the A00 exam group of Hue City, the second-highest nationwide, and also the candidate with the highest total score among all exam group top-scorers in Hue City in the 2025 National High School Graduation Exam.
