Quoc Hoc - Hue student selected for Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad team
HNN.VN - According to the results of the 2026 national team selection exam for international and regional Olympiads, Phan Cong Dung, an 11th grade Informatics major student at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, has been selected for the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) team.

In the 2026 national team selection exam for international and regional Olympiads, Phan Cong Dung scored 384,05 points, ranking 7th and becoming one of 15 students selected for the APIO team. Prior to this, he had also won First Prize in the 2026 National Excellent Student Competition in Informatics.
The national team selection exam, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, took place from March 25th to 27th, with the participation of 194 outstanding students nationwide. Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted had five students competing: Tran Thanh Binh and Tang Hao Nhien (Physics); Nguyen Doan Quoc Anh (Chemistry); Vo Huy Hoang (Biology); and Phan Cong Dung (Informatics).
The exam aims to select students with outstanding capabilities for further training to participate in international and regional Olympiads, thereby affirming the quality of advanced education and promoting the movement of learning and scientific research among students.
