On the afternoon of August 19th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh led a delegation on a field trip to inspect investment and production activities at Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone and Phu Bai Industrial Park. Leaders of relevant departments, agencies, localities and units also joined the delegation.

“Chan May - Lang Co needs to be developed into a growth hub for industry, logistics, services and tourism in Hue City and the central region. Every decision on infrastructure investment must focus on long-term effectiveness, synchronization, and a clear roadmap, while having the capacity to create breakthroughs in socio-economic development,” Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh emphasized that at a meeting with the Department of Industry and Trade and the Management Board of Hue City Economic and Industrial Zones on August 12 to discuss infrastructure investment in economic zones, industrial parks, and industrial clusters, as well as investment attraction.

On the evening of May 7, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Ha Van Tuan had a meeting with investors at Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone to review the implementation progress of industrial, logistics, seaports, and service infrastructure projects in the area.

Phu Bai Industrial Zone (IZ) is steadily affirming its role as a key growth driver of the locality, making significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Phu Bai Ward and the city as a whole. On October 3rd, representatives of the Management Board of the city’s Economic and Industrial Zones reported that the area has attracted many major projects. From now until the end of 2025, six more projects will be invited, with a total investment of about 10 trillion VND.

The Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone (CM-LC) has become an economic growth pole in Hue City. This place is home to the Chan May Seaport, which is asserting its important position and becoming a crucial link for the formation of a logistics hub of the Central region and the East-West Economic Corridor.
