As the Tet holiday approaches, many Vietnamese people living far from their homeland still feel the eager atmosphere. Some feel excited when returning to their homeland, while many families enjoy celebrating Vietnamese Tet in foreign lands.

Among the thousands of artifacts which Mrs. Cecile Le Pham, the owner of Cecile Le Pham Museum of Fine Arts at 53 Ham Nghi St., possesses, the collection of ancient Indochinese banknotes brings viewers an interesting perspective on the currency that used to circulate in Vietnam during the French colonial period.

Collaboration plays a crucial role in promoting tourism development. In 2024, as the leader of the tourism development partnership among five localities in Central Vietnam, Thua Thien Hue province will propose and implement various solutions to enhance the effectiveness of collaboration, promote tourism, and contribute to the development of the smoke-free industry.

On January 28, the Provincial Youth Activity Center organized a program to experience the traditional Lunar New Year of Vietnam and South Korea, with the theme "Connecting Spring - Peaceful Tet (Lunar New Year)". The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization.

On the evening of January 26th, 2024, the award ceremony for the ASEAN Clean Tourist City took place in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Hue City, being one of three cities representing Vietnam, proudly received this prestigious award. This is an award within the framework of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) held from January 22nd to 27th. The delegation from Hue City, led by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, Vo Le Nhat, attended the award ceremony and participated in various activities of the forum.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Provincial Department of Tourism, said that on the evening of January 26, within the framework of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), there was an award ceremony for the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Awards, taking place in Vientiane, Laos. The three cities representing Vietnam have been awarded (which will be effected from 2024 to 2026) namely: Hue (Thua Thien Hue Province), Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), and Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh Province).

Green growth and sustainable development are the most talked-about topics since the COP26 conference, where Vietnam committed to the international community to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Since then, the story of attracting investment towards "greening" has gained even more attention.

From over 200 nominations and 15.000 votes, the program “Vietnam’s Top 7 Impressions 2023”, held by the editorial board of Sai Gon Tiep Thi (Saigon Marketing), under the group of Saigon Times, has identified 35 most impressive destinations and tourist experiences. Thua Thien Hue has 3 destinations of 3 categories listed in the “Vietnam’s Top 7 Impressions 2023”.

The Hue International Sculpture Camp and Public Art Design Competition - 2024 with the theme "Impressions of Hue, Vietnam" is scheduled to take place at the park along the north bank of the Huong River (Kim Long Street, Hue City), starting in January 2024.

With the theme "Cultural heritage with integration and development", Hue Festival 2024 will include consecutive activities taking place throughout the year. The event aims to honor and promote the unique values of Vietnamese culture in general and Hue culture in particular.
