A host of environmental problems, urban embellishment, traffic pressure, and traffic network planning need radical and appropriate solutions. The face of a civilized and modern city is what the province is aiming for in the process of building a centrally-run city.

That is the affirmation of Mr. Nguyen van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in an interview with Thua Thien Hue Weekly about the Thua Thien Hue Urban Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065 (UMP).

Allocating resources to develop urban space in lagoon and seaside areas; investing in Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone; clarifying the shape of a modern Hue City, etc., are some suggestions from leading experts on planning, architecture, urbanization, economy, and so on, at the conference organized by the Provincial People's Committee on the afternoon of April 1st to collect opinions on the Urban Master Plan of Thua Thien Hue to 2045, with a vision to 2065.

On the morning of February 11, the project of Aeon Mall Hue shopping center has commenced at the land lot marked with symbols TM-DV7, in Zone A - An Van Duong New Urban Area (An Dong Ward, Hue City). With a total investment of about USD 169.67 million, this is the largest Japanese investment project in the province to date.
