Thua Thien Hue, along with Da Nang and Quang Nam, are strengthening cooperation to boost tourism between Vietnam and Australia, particularly by connecting the Australian tourist market with Central Vietnam. By enhancing promotion and advertising of the “Amazing Central Vietnam Heritage” tourism brand in Australia, the goal is to attract visitors from this significant potential market to Central Vietnam in general, and to Hue in particular.

On the afternoon of September 19, the Provincial Tourism Association, in collaboration with Vietnam Tourism Association, organized a conference themed “Promoting, advertising, and connecting Hue tourism in 2024”.

During 2 days, from September 18 to 19, about 70 travel businesses and travel associations nationwide came to Hue to participate in the Hue famtrip program titled “Ancient Capital – New Experiences season 3” to visit, survey, and assess the tours and tourism destinations in Hue.

A Biah Hill, a.k.a Hamburger Hill, or Hill 937 is one of two historical destinations in the A Luoi highlands. The higher you climb towards the top of the hill, the narrower and more desolate the road becomes. Yet, this place still has a strange attraction for tourists, especially veterans from both within and outside the country. Many elderly visitors have to cut trees to make walking sticks, conquering more than 850 steps over 1.5km long to reach the summit.

On September 11, the tourism sectors of three localities, including Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam, jointly organized a tourism promotion program in Melbourne, Australia.

On the evening of September 8th, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with Vietnam Travel Magazine and other partners, organized the “Experiencing Traditional Hue Mid-Autumn Festival”program. This event is part of a series of activities taking place in the four seasons of Hue Festival 2024, aiming at responding to the autumn festival - “Hue in Autumn” of the Hue Festival 2024.

Vietnam has continued to be named as “Asia’s Leading Destination”, “Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination in 2024”, and “Asia’s Leading Natural Destination in 2024”, together with many other prestigious awards.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has just issued a decision to recognize “The Knowledge of Making and Wearing Hue Ao dai” of Thua Thien Hue Province as part of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This serves as an impetus for the Thua Thien Hue Garment Association to promote the introduction of the five-panel Ao dai into schools.

As part of their tour in Vietnam, the concert duo consisting of cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann from Germany will perform a concert at the Song Huong Theater of Hue Academy of Music on the evening of September 5th.

During the first two days of the National Day holiday (September 2nd), Hue Ancient Capital welcomed thousands of tourist arrivals. Currently, tourist destinations in Thua Thien Hue, especially the relics belonging to the Complex of Hue Monuments, continue to be bustling with visitors.
