Over 700 athletes nationwide compete at Hue Festival 2025 Pickleball Tournament

HNN.VN - The Hue Festival 2025 Pickleball Tournament kicked off on the morning of July 19th at Louis Pickleball Court, 68A Hoang Quoc Viet Street. This event is one of 11 competitions within the “Hue Sports Festival 2025”, the third community health sports festival.

A match at the tournament

The tournament attracted 370 pairs of athletes from cities and provinces including Ha Noi, Quang Ninh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hue. Participants competed in a range of categories: mixed doubles at 4.6 and 4.8 levels; mixed doubles at 5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 levels; and men's doubles at the 5.15 level.

On the side of Hue, the host city, 150 pairs from local clubs: Louis, Royal, Bao Nguyen, BMC, Arena, Green, and Kingdom joined the competition.

Experts noted that while Hue’s pickleball movement developed later than in some other provinces and cities, the host athletes’ current performance level is strong enough to place them in the tournament’s top three.

The 2025 Hue Pickleball Tournament is organized by the Louis Pickleball Club under a socialized (non-governmental) model. The participation of over 700 athletes from across the country reflects not only the tournament’s growing reputation but also the rising potential of this emerging sport.

The tournament will end on the evening of July 20.
