Over 300 athletes participate in Hue City Yoga Open Tournament 2025
HNN.VN - The 1st Hue City Yoga Open Tournament officially opened on the evening of July 12 at the square opposite Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted. This event marked the beginning of Hue Sports Festival 2025.
Being held from July 12 to 13, the tournament gathered over 300 athletes from 20 clubs across Hue City and Quang Tri Province. The clubs participated in two sections, including: performance and competition.
The performance section includes group Yoga and Paso Doble dance. In the competition section, the clubs would compete in the following categories: Artistic Group, Flow Group, Individual Asana (with six age groups, from under 16 to 61 years old and above), Individual Asana for coaches and assistant instructors, and Duet Flow (Yoga + music).
Despite being the inaugural event, attracting over 300 athletes from 20 clubs within Hue City and Quang Tri Province, it has partly demonstrated the potential and appeal of Yoga in particular, and grassroots sports activities in general. It also highlights the effectiveness of the socialized sports and physical training initiatives that Hue City has been implementing recently.

Hue Sports Festival 2025 takes place from July 12 to August 3, featuring 11 main activities, including: the 1st Hue City Yoga Open Tournament and activities celebrating the International Yoga Day 2025; Hue City Pickleball Open Tournament; the 4th Annual Golf Club 23 Tournament; the HueBa Jogging Race; Hiphop - Showcase Festival 2025; the 2nd Hue Imperial Capital 3x3 Basketball Tournament; the 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Tournament; the 7-a-side Football Tournament; the 7-a-side Football Tournament for Hue City High School Students; the Balance Bike Race; and Hue City Swimming Tournament 2025.
The opening ceremony of Hue Sports Festival 2025 will be held on July 20 at the square opposite Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted.
