On January 27th, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh, together with representatives of city departments and agencies, received and worked with a high-level delegation from Vientiane Capital (Laos). The delegation was led by Comrade Tha Nong Xay Khut Phay Thun, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and Head of the Investment Promotion and Economic Management Board of Vientiane Capital.

The “Restructuring the Tourism Sector to Meet the Requirements of Becoming a Key Economic Sector” plan, approved under Decision No. 1685/QD-TTg dated December 5th, 2018 by the Prime Minister, has established an important policy framework for the comprehensive renewal of the tourism sector. On January 7, the city’s Economic Census Steering Committee, together with Phu Xuan Ward authorities, kicked off the 2026 Economic Census.
