Taking place from September 17 to 19, ELSA 2026 offered Vietnamese experts and surgeons the opportunity to deepen connections with colleagues in the region and around the world. Through exchanges and experience-sharing activities at the conference, Vietnamese medical professionals had the opportunity to gain access to the latest advances in techniques and technology, thereby contributing to the development of minimally invasive surgery in Vietnam.

Choosing Hue as the venue for ELSA 2026 also created opportunities to strengthen academic exchange, expand professional cooperation, and facilitate knowledge transfer between Vietnamese experts and regional medical institutions and medical centers. It was also an occasion to showcase Vietnam’s medical expertise, training, scientific research, and international cooperation.

As part of the conference, the ELSA hosting flag was handed over to Taiwan, the host of the event in 2027. The handover ceremony marked the continuation of the conference series and reflected the spirit of cooperation, knowledge sharing, and connectivity within the Asian endoscopic surgery community.

ELSA 2026 not only was a scientific forum for experts and surgeons to update their knowledge and share professional experience, but also contributed to promoting Hue, the people of Vietnam, and the country’s medical advances to international friends and colleagues. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen connections with the regional and international endoscopic surgery community, while highlighting achievements in medical expertise, training, scientific research, and healthcare cooperation.
